CHILDREN'S CHOIR AND ORPHANAGES: The Sifa Africa Children's Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 221 Union St. in Cary. Sifa means "praise" in Swahili. Choir members, orphaned children, tell their story through music and dance. The choir is traveling through the United States to publicize and raise support for schools and orphanages in Uganda. CREEDMOOR YOUTH NEEDS TRANSPLANT: The Children's Organ Transplant Association, a national nonprofit group that raises money to cover the costs of children's transplant operations, needs help with fund-raising for a Creedmoor youth with bone marrow failure. The charity and local volunteers in Creedmoor are raising money for Calvin Blevins, 6, the son of April Monroe. The boy has been diagnosed with bone marrow failure, and money is needed to pay for a cord-blood transplant.
