FIELD DAY

Tar River Land Conservancy's annual Field Day on the Farm will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at Lynch Creek Farm in Kittrell.

Live music, food, hiking, antique shopping and a farm tour await those willing to make the 45-minute northeast drive from Raleigh to check out this rural farming community.

The event is free to members, sponsors and stewards and new members are welcome.

OLD-FASHIONED FUN AT THE FALL FAIR

Wake Forest Baptist Church will throw its third annual Fall Festival from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow. Old-fashioned fun like hay rides, gourd-painting, a cake walk, face-painting, doughnuts on a string and a dunking booth will be available at the free event. Hot dogs will be sold and a bake sale will raise money for the church's community ministry. The festival will be at the Stephenson Center at 12120 Wake Union Church Road. MOMS MEETING

The MOMS Club of Wake Forest-North is hosting a meet-and-greet at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 24 at United Methodist Church, 905 South Main Street, featuring Chip Russell, Wake Forest's Town Planner. Refreshments, prizes, and good conversation will be provided.

ART FOR FOOD

The Percolator coffee shop is hosting Art For Food, a show benefiting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24. Donations are welcome.

CRAFT FAIR

Get a jump on your holiday shopping tomorrow at The Second Annual Festival of Hope, a crafts fair and silent auction benefitting the Batten Disease Support and Research Association.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. at the New Community Church at 9621 Six Forks Road at I-540, featuring live music, children's clothing, pottery, baked goods, crafts and jewelry.
