The free Play! Recreational Sports Calendar for youth and adult recreational sports is published each Tuesday in the Sports Section of the print edition of The News & Observer.

Among the sports you'll find included in the lengthy list that follows are baseball, basketball, cycling, football/cheerleading, golf, hockey, horseshoes, ice skating, lacrosse, motocross, rowing, rugby, running, sailing, soccer, softball, triathlon and wrestling, plus the offerings of area parks and recreation department programs and commercial multi-sport facilities.

HOW TO PLAY!

CALENDAR: Requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. THURSDAY. There is no charge for listings. All requests MUST include a name (first and last) and a telephone number and must list the fee that will be charged to participants.
